Courses subject to registration are courses that participants must register for via Friedolin. The prospective participants must apply for registration either using the Apply for modules / Cancel application menu item or via the Schedule of classes. The time of registration is not relevant (see also When should I register for courses?) but you should ideally register for the course before the 1st Automatic Allocation of Course Places. You will then either be admitted to the course automatically during the Automatic Allocation of Places or manually by the assigned teacher (see also How does the automatic allocation of course places work? and How does the manual allocation of course places work?). Lists of participants are available to the teacher and the teacher may also reach out to the course participants by email.

Courses not subject to registration can be attended without prior registration. As a consequence, the teacher assigned to the course does not have access to any information about the course participants in Friedolin. Therefore, lists of participants and attendance lists are not available and the teacher can't send emails to the participants.
