Hinweis 1: Das Betriebssystem Android ist in vielen Versionen auf dem Markt, welche je nach Smartphone-Hersteller etwas unterschiedlich in ihrer Menüführung und App-Kompatibilität sein können. Aus diesem Grund ist es nicht möglich, für alle auf dem Markt befindlichen Geräte spezifische Anleitungen bereitzustellen. Es ist auch möglich, dass Sie im Google Play Store (oder einem anderen App-Store) keine zu Ihrem Smartphone/Tablet kompatible Cisco AnyConnect App finden oder für die Installation Root-Rechte vorausgesetzt werden (welche im Auslieferungszustand i.d.R. nicht vorhanden sind). |

1. Schritt: VPN-Software installieren

Bitte laden Sie den Cisco AnyConnect von Cisco Systems, Inc. aus dem App-Store.
2. Schritt: Verbindung zum Universitätsnetzwerk herstellen

Aktivieren Sie den Cisco AnyConnect Client.

Drücken Sie auf den Punkt Verbindungen, um eine neue Verbindung einzurichten.

Fügen Sie durch drücken auf die Taste VPN-Verbindung hinzufügen… eine neue Konfiguration hinzu.

Bitte geben Sie durch tippen auf das entsprechende Feld folgende Daten für die Verbindung ein:

Beenden Sie den Einrichtungsdialog, um zur Übersichtsseite zu gelangen.

Dieser Schritt ist mit dem Verbindungsaufbau immer nötig. Aus Sicherheitsgründen können die Anmeldedaten nicht gespeichert werden und müssen jedes Mal erneut eingeben werden.

Zum Beenden der VPN Verbindung schalten Sie den AnyConnect-VPN Status wieder auf Aus.

Hint 1: The Android operating system is available in many versions on the market, which can differ slightly in their menu navigation and app compatibility depending on the smartphone manufacturer. It is also possible that you will not find a Cisco AnyConnect app compatible with your smartphone/tablet in the Google Play Store (or another app store) or that root rights are required for installation (which are usually not available when the device is delivered). |

1. Step: install VPN-Software

Please first download and install the Cisco AnyConnect Client from an from Cisco Systems, Inc. from the app store (e.g. Google Play Store). You can find the application/app via the search function or directly by scanning the QR code.

Activate the Cisco AnyConnect Client.

Accept the end user agreement.
Press the Connections item to set up a new connection.

Click Connections, and then click Add New VPN Connection.
Add a new configuration by pressing the Add VPN connection... button.

Please enter the following data for the connection by by tapping on the corresponding field:
- Description/Beschreibung: Name Name of the VPN. This is freely selectable and only relevant for your internal system. We have named the connection "VPN Uni Jena" as an example.
- Server Adress/ Server Adresse: Address of the VPN network. Please enter "vpn.uni-jena.de" here.
Now click on "Advanced Preferences/Erweiterte Einstellungen".
Exit the setup dialog to get to the overview page.

Confirm the configuration with "Done/Fertig".

Activate the VPN connection by moving the slider to the right.

Enter the following in the window that pops up:
You will be asked to enter your login credentials.
- Username/BenutzerBenutzername: Your Your FSU user ID, here exemplary exemplified by "ab12cde@uni-jena.de". Not (not your E-Mail-Address!e-mail address)
- Password/Passwort: The password for your FSU account. (The same as e.g. for the portals Friedolin and Moodle).
This step is always necessary with the connection setup. For security reasons, the login data cannot be saved and must be entered again each time.

To terminate the VPN connection, switch the AnyConnect VPN status back to Off.
