If you want to withdraw from courses, you need to proceed the same way as you did when registering for them, in most cases via the Apply for modules / Cancel application menu item and via the module through which you registered for the course in the first place. If you have registered for the course via the Schedule of classes, you must withdraw from the course via the Schedule of classes, too.

If you have registered for a course via the Apply for modules / Cancel application menu item, select the module in question just as you did when registering for it (see also How do I choose priorities when it comes to registering for a course?). Check the box next to de-register and confirm by clicking on the de-register button.

If you have registered for a course via the Schedule of classes, check the box next to register/de-register just as you did when registering for it (see also How do I register for courses via the Schedule of classes?). After that confirm your choice by clicking on the de-register button.

As long as the registration status is set to AN, it is possible at any time to withdraw from courses. After you have been admitted to the course (ZU registration status), you as a participant can only withdraw from the course by the withdrawal deadlines of the course. You can find the valid withdrawal deadlines in the basic data of the course. As a general rule, these deadliens are:

• up to 2 weeks after the start of the lecture period for all courses, with the following exceptions
• up to 6 weeks after the start of the lecture period at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science
• no withdrawal possible for students at the Institute of Sports Science

After these deadlines, only teachers assigned to the course can reset your registration status to AN.
