Prüfen Sie hier, ob Ihre macOS-Version 10.13 High Sierra oder neuer ist.
1. Schritt: alte Eduroam-Profile löschenSollte Eudroam auf dem Endgerät bisher niemals eingerichtet worden sein, können Sie direkt mit Schritt 2 fortfahren. Es muss sichergestellt werden, dass keine Eduroam-Konfigurationsprofile einer anderen Institution (Hochschule, Universität) installiert sind.
Dazu werden die Systemeinstellungen geöffnet. Existiert hier die Schaltfläche "Profile", beziehungsweise ab der neueren macOs Version Sequoia die "Geräteverwaltung". Dabei muss überprüft werden, ob falsche oder alte Profile installiert sind. Mit einem Klick öffnen Sie das Menü. Optional kann hierbei auch die Suche durch die Spotlight-Funktion erfolgen (Command-Leertaste)
Existieren "eduroam"-Profile, müssen diese über das kleine "-" (Minus) entfernt werden. Das Löschen muss mit dem Gerätepasswort bestätigt werden.
2. Schritt: Sicheres einrichtungsspezifisches Eduroam-Profil mit CAT installierenFür einen sicheren Verbindungsaufbau sind einige Einstellungen sowie die Installation eines Sicherheitszertifikats notwendig. Letzteres stellt sicher, dass Ihr Endgerät nicht jedem (böswilligen) Access-Point vertraut und Ihre Anmeldedaten weitergibt. Die Installation des Zertifikates sowie das Setzen der Einstellungen müssen nicht mühsam per Hand durchgeführt werden. Dafür gibt es unter https://cat.eduroam.org das CAT. Es wird empfohlen, Safari zum Aufruf der Seite zu nutzen.
Auf der Internetseite wird das richtige Betriebssystem automatisch erkannt. Nach einem Klick auf die große Schaltfläche zum Herunterladen ist die Angabe der Hochschule notwendig. Geben Sie "Jena" in die Suchmaske ein und wählen Sie die "Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena" aus.
Ein Klick auf den großen Download-Button lädt das Profil herunter. Das muss ggf. erlaubt werden.
Nach dem Herunterladen erscheint eine Systemmeldung, dass eine neues Profil zur Installation bereitsteht. Das Profil wird nicht automatisch installiert. Befolgen Sie den nächsten Schritt.
Unter "Profile", bei neueren Versionen unter "Geräteverwaltung" in den "Systemeinstellungen" Ihres Macs wird das neue Profil angezeigt, welches durch einen Klick auf "Installieren..." eingerichtet wird. Sollten Sie "Profile"/"Geräteverwaltung" in den Systemeinstellungen nicht finden, so nutzen Sie die Suche links oben - oder die Spotlight-Suche (Command-Leertaste) 3. Schritt: Eduroam-Verbindung mit URZ-Login (Universitätsrechenzentrum) herstellen
Es öffnet sich Ein Fenster für die Eingabe der Anmeldedaten. Im Feld "Benutzername" ist das URZ-Login mit direkt angehangenen "@uni@uni-jena.de" einzugeben, bspw. ab12cde@uni-jena.de (nicht die E-Mail-Adresse), bei "Passwort" das dazugehörige Kennwort.
Die wiederholte Eingabe dieses Logins für den kabelgebundenen Zugang ist optional. Ein Klick auf "Installieren" richtet Eduroam abschließend ein. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Jetzt kann eine sichere Eduroam-Verbindung über das WLAN /Netzwerksymbol aufgebaut werden. Verwandte Artikel:

1. Step: delete old Eduroam WLAN networksIf Eudroam Eduroam has never been set up on the device, you can skip to step 2. It must be ensured that no Eduroam configuration profiles from another institution (university) are installed.

Step: Install secure organization-specific Eduroam profile with CATA few settings and the installation of a security certificate are necessary for a secure connection setup. If you cannot find “Profiles” can not find "Profiles" in the system settings, use the search function at the top left or spotlight-search. 3. Step: Establish Eduroam connection with URZ login (Universitätsrechenzentrum, engl. University Computer Center)
A window opens for entering the login data. In the field "User name" the URZ login with directly appended "@uni@uni-jena.de" has to be entered, e.g. ab12cde@uni-jena.de (not the e-mail address), in "Password" the corresponding password.
Repeated entry of this login for wired access is optional. A click on "Install" finally sets up Eduroam. Congratulations! Now a secure Eduroam connection can be established automatically or via the WLAN /Network icon. Related articles
